A long time ago the Faery wars raged around Wulluxia. The major event of those times was the emergence of Illith and the Dark-Fae. However, the years have recombined the Dark and Light fae so that it is hard even now to tell who will be born to whom. Still, the Touch of the Good Fae and the Touch of Illith bear certain changes into those who they claim— now each from their ascended palaces. Their war is now a war of balance, played at the deity level. Glorianna, the Faery Queene, selects faeries that preserve the wonder and magic of all that is good. Illith believes in technology and progress— it was in this name that she cut down her portion of the woods. The Dark-Touched are taller than their cousins, and their burned wings do not work. The light faeries are the traditional impish purveyors of good. But over time some good faeries have used more technology and some evil faeries have returned to nature: not to mention the cousins from the north who have made a habit of returning to the mother continent. All three strands of the Faerie culture are re-blending so many years after the Civil War.
